Let Me Publishing

Lyrics

[chorus]
Take me down
down to the river
Won't you wash my sins away
I am dirty
Won't you make me clean
down in the river today

[Instrumental]

[Verse]
John stood by the Jordan River
And looking up he said
Behold the lamb of God
Who takes away our sins
But much to his surprise
Jesus walked on in with him
Said I need to be baptized
Cause it’s part of God’s plan

[chorus]
So Take me down
down to the river
Won't you wash my sins away
I am dirty
Won't you make me clean
down in the river today

[Instrumental]

[Verse]
Now I’m standing by that River
And I can hear Him say
Behold the time has come
To wash your sins away
Jesus offers me new life
If I walk on in with him
Oh I need to be baptized
Cause it’s part of God’s plan

[chorus]
So Take me down (take me down, take me down)
down to the river
Won't you wash my sins away
I am dirty (ohhhhhh)
Won't you make me clean
down in the river today

[chorus]
So Take me down (take me down….)
down to the river
Won't you wash my sins away (wash my sins away)
I am dirty (ooohhhhhh)
Won't you make me clean
down in the river today
